Good Morning!  Wow, where has the week gone?  We've been very busy in classes this week.  In language arts, the students have been working together to create a final project to show me what they know about the plot of Freak the Mighty.  This has been an in class project and they are doing a fantastic job.  Our first spelling test of the year is tomorrow (9/8), and reading logs are due also with a parent signature acknowleding that the students have indeed spent at least 1 hour reading this week.

In social studies we have been studying the 6 essential elements of geography and have begun using latitude and longitude to find absolute location.  The students have begun working on an independent brochure project researching and reporting on an absolute location on Earth of their choice.  Check out my Edline page if you need a copy of the assignment.  Enjoy the rest of the week!!
