I raised the bar and my students not only met the challenge, they blew it away!!! This year, I've instituted monthly book shares. The students have to read a novel and create a visual presentation along with a short written summary of their book completely independent of the classroom. They do all of the reading and creating at home. Yesterday was the first due date. In 15 years of teaching, I have NEVER seen such beautiful and creative work from ALL of my students. BRAVO!!!!
