What a fantastic day we had yesterday!! We took the entire 6th grade on a field trip hiking in our beautiful Lakes Region. After a morning of climbing, we had a great lunch in a camping area and then spent the afternoon enjoying integrated activites. Students who participated with me wrote haiku poetry about our trip and then used leaves to make leaf rubbing to write their poems on. The kids had a great time and I have some fabulous poetry to display in the classroom!
